An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join a globally recognised law firm in Sydney.
Reporting into regional leadership, you will act as the primary business development advisor to key Practice Groups and Sectors across the Asia Pacific region. You will drive client growth initiatives, support revenue generation, oversee major pitches and profile-raising activities, and provide leadership to an established Business Development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead Business Development contact for assigned Practice Groups and industry sectors across APAC
- Identify and support new business opportunities, client growth initiatives, and cross-selling opportunities
- Lead major proposals, tenders, capability statements, and client pitches
- Develop and execute strategic BD and marketing plans aligned with firm priorities
- Drive client relationship programs and coach Partners on best-practice client development
- Oversee Sydney-based client events, sponsorships, thought leadership campaigns, and profiling initiatives
- Manage and mentor a Business Development Executive and Business Development Assistant
- Drive CRM engagement, legal directory submissions, and client intelligence initiatives
- Collaborate with regional and global BD teams to deliver firm-wide growth strategies
- Work closely with Partners and leadership teams on strategic projects and business planning
